We Relived the Magic of Freedomland!
On Saturday, June 1 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., we had a great program here at Ardsley Library as over 25 people came to reminisce and learn all about Freedomland, an American history themed park that was located in the Bronx, NY. Although it lasted only 5 years, from 1960-1964, it generated a host of followers as well as lots of memorabilia. Everyone enjoyed our fact-filled host, Mike Virgintino whose vast knowledge of Freedomland was quite impressive. His book, Freedomland, the Definitive History, is available to checkout at the Ardsley Library or for sale on Amazon.

HERE'S TO YOU, ROSE!
The Ardsley Library Board of Trustees would like to recognize Rose Peña, President of the Friends of the Ardsley Public Library, and thank her for her many years of service to the library. Rose has raised thousands of dollars for library programming, including the summer reading program, as well as for DVDs and other items that are not included in the budget.
Through her tireless efforts, Rose helped make this all happen. As of January 1, 2019, Rose is retiring from her position. We will miss her greatly, not only for all of her contributions, but also for her kind words, good cheer, and wonderfully delicious baking. We wish her great happiness in all of her life's journeys in the future.
The Ardsley Public Library and
the over 90 attendees, would like to thank
Mr. Xavier Chavarro
for his amazing, mellifluent concert which
he performed on Friday, November 16.
This beautiful Thanksgiving gift was
deeply appreciated by all.
Coconut Lotions for Day and Night
A great time was had by all! Everyone went home with two tins of silky smooth coconut lotions.
One made with the invigorating scent of bergamot for day, and the other with calming lavender to ease them into gentle sleep for night.
Just in time for the winter season!
